Payments processed by forte take 24-48 hours before they are received in the city office.  Late fees are charged on payments received in the office after the 15th of the month; not necessarily when payment is made to forte.
Just to clarify for some people. To avoid the $20.00 dollar late fee make sure that I have received your payment in the office before the close of business on the 15th of each month. Any payment received after the close of business on the 15th will be charged a $20.00 late fee. If your payment is in the mail or in process electronically  but not received in the office or in the bank before the close of regular scheduled business hours on the 15th of each month you will be charged a late fee. Also, the drop slot on the front of the building is collected once a day upon my arrival. After that it isn't collected again until the next business day.
